NYS Route 332 Corridor Improvements

Towns of Canandaigua and Farmington, Ontario County, New York

As part of the NYSDOT rehabilitation and widening of a seven mile long principal arterial road way, SRF assisted in the development, understanding, and advancement of land use and corridor management tools in support of the Towns’ Master Plan goals as well as NYSDOT project objectives. This project required state and local coordination and agreement over median treatments and other access issues, circulation, and design guidelines. This study resulted in the creation of a town-wide access management ordinance. The firm provided key assistance to NYSDOT in the development and presentation of arterial management concepts to the town boards and other stakeholders. This project was selected for NYSDOT's handbook of Best Practices in Arterial Management .
